Hmmm...

I am really that unemployable that I cannot even get a job in a retail store that I previously worked in? It's just one disappointment after another. Who ever said there's a Job out there for everybody was obviously lying. Cause at the moment I can't even get jobs that I don't even want.

Another thing that has really wound me up is the fact the 'Job Rehab' course the Job Center put me on before my temporary employment promised me that they would keep in contact with me throughout my employment and find me alternative employment so that I wouldn't have to be unemployed when my contract came to and end. Do you think I have heard off them since my contact ended? Have I hell! Even though I told them more than once that my contract was coming to an end.

September 12th 2013

Finally had an interview today for a job I applied for weeks ago, job is in Customer Service, in a factory not even a mile from my house.
I have another interview tomorrow for next, it's only 12.25 hours but I know with next I can do overtime as I have worked there before.
I must admin I am finding job searching so much easier now that I can drive.

September, 6th 2013

I have one week, yes just one week left of full time employment. I don't want it to end but I knew it was only a maternity cover contract.

This week I downloaded the indeed and cv-library android apps, both have been pretty helpful as you can apply via mobile phone aslong as you have an account and already uploaded your cv.

Overall this week I have applied for over 70 jobs, have been unsuccessful in 20 and invited to do one line assessment and a telephone interview.

The Job Seeker

Although I am currently employed and really love my job, it is only maternity cover and the girl who had a baby is due to come back to work. My contract is due to end  Friday, September 13th 2013.

At the moment I am really struggling to find suitable employment, living at the top of a valley is a nightmare when it comes to job searching especially with winter weather conditions and the mountain roads being closed, yes I have been turned down for jobs because of this.

I would love to take on a role similar to what I am doing at the moment as I really do love my job, but as I keep saying to people I knew it wasn't a permanent position.

Obviously signing on at the job centre isn't really something I want to consider, after previous experiences. I have never received any help from them and have even been fobbed off to a 'job rehab' to help me find employment.

Suppose I better get off here and look for jobs.
